Coming Soon in 2025 - A New Chapter for Writing Your Stories
Year upon year, I'm filled with gratitude for the stories we've shared – the heartfelt letters in the mail, the beautiful emails, cherished memories, and the moments woven into simple daily life, that connect us. This journey of capturing life's beauty in everyday storytelling has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember.
From childhood days spent pouring my heart into diaries and writing letters to friends and loved ones, to the joy of crafting heartfelt letters to my son, Lew, documenting his every milestone and whispering secrets into his future, the written word has always held a special place in my heart. The loss of my mum at a young age deeply reminded me of the importance of cherishing memories and asking questions.
All those experiences ignited my passion for 'Dear Nan,' where I'm sharing the story of my beloved Nan and how special our bond was. It just shows how powerful writing can be, you know? It's not about fancy words; it's about sharing your heart honestly. Stories are like threads, weaving through time, helping us remember, heal, and keep the love alive.
And now, I'm thrilled to announce a new chapter in storytelling!
Launching in 2025, I'll be facilitating intimate 1:1 sessions to help women craft their personal stories. Yay for getting our stories written in 2025!
Hi I'm Kim. It's lovely to meet you.
You will usually find me working from my tiny nook in the front part of my house (where the front door should be!), pottering in the garden or playing with our mischievous, but ultra cute, menagerie of animals. My house is nestled amongst the hills, very close to a river, in the beautiful Bega Valley.
I love stationery and letters and writing about every day moments. I create stationery subscriptions that have a cosy, quaint feel to them and I do that in collaboration with my son, Lew, who is the chief illustrator.
Enough about me, onto more cups of tea and meandering through this garden of stationery subscriptions, penpal fun, and other papery goodies. Oh, and if you'd like to hear more about me via my ramblings, please head on over to:

The Lovely Letters Project
When I was a little girl, and well into my teens, I would sit at my desk, usually on the weekends, and I’d write letters. I had a list of people to write to – Nan, Grandma, aunties, friends from my Sydney school days, penpals from all over the world. I’d pick up my pen and become lost in the written word. Every now and then I’d pause to collect my thoughts, thinking about my week and the recipient of the letter – what would they enjoy hearing about? What had been going on in their lives? What had they mentioned in their last letter that I could respond to? What had my family members been up to that could keep them amused? It was a precious time in my life, and those childish letters that I wrote, most definitely created in me a desperate desire to connect with loved ones (and sometimes, those I’d never met before) through the written word.
So, if you would like to become a part of the Lovely Letters community, if you would like to receive and send letters about simple, daily life – perhaps share recipes, talk about meals, share gardening and home stories, and you are committed to exchanging them each month, then please join this project. You are the perfect person to begin this mission to bring back old fashioned slow mail. You'll love it!
