Welcome to Little Life Stories
Welcome, lovely — I’m really glad you’re here.
This is your cosy space for the next few months. A little corner to sit with your stories, your memories, and the parts of your life that have been waiting for a little attention.
There’s nothing you need to rush into. No pressure to write in any particular way. Just begin where you are.
You might like to make a cup of tea first. I find that always helps;)
What this space is for
Little Life Stories is a writing journey designed to help you:
- begin (or return to) writing your life story
- gather memories that might otherwise stay tucked away
- feel supported as you write, even if you’re unsure where to start
- build a habit that feels doable and kind
Think of it less like a course, and more like a small gathering of encouragement and support over the next 3 months.
How it works
Everything you need is already here in this space.
Originally, this program was delivered via 6 weekly emails, so I have divided things up here in a similar way - 6 individual letters to you. Each one includes printable PDFs that you are welcome to print and add to your tool box of writing.
Each week has its own focus, designed to gently guide you through your writing — from beginning ideas through to shaping and reflecting. There's a garden theme because, hello, I'm a bit garden obsessed, but I hope it helps. I like a good analogy and I truly think that your story is so very much like a garden - beginning with the seeds all the way through to harvesting. It's beautiful and messy and slow and enjoyable - just like a real life garden.
You’re very welcome to move through the letters in order, week by week, or simply follow what draws your attention in the moment. Binge it all at once, if that's what you prefer.
Honestly, there’s no right pace here.
Some people like to spread things out, others like to wander. Some binge.
Remember, this is your story. You can create it in whatever way feels nicest for you.
You’re not doing this alone
Alongside the writing prompts and content, you’ll also have support from me over the next three months.
Each month, you’re warmly invited to join our group call — a relaxed space to gather, reflect, and hear from others who are writing their stories too. You’re welcome to come along whenever it suits you, whether you feel like sharing or simply listening in. There is a replay each month available too. You will be sent these links over the next three months, via your email inbox.
And in between the group calls, my inbox is always open to you.
You’re so welcome to reach out — whether that’s to:
- ask for help or reassurance
- share a piece of your writing
- celebrate a win
- or simply let me know how you’re going
You don’t need to wait for the 'right time” or have something perfectly formed. If it matters to you, it matters to me, so please make sure to utilise this support during your 3 months, and email me anytime: kim@bettymaewrote.com
If you’d like more personal guidance, you can also book a one-on-one session with me at any time during your three months. This is your space to ask questions, talk through your writing, or find your next step if you’re feeling unsure. The 1:1 consults are at a discounted rate for members, and there is a booking system so you can find a time that suits you. You'll receive an email from me with the booking options once you book your 1:1. These are $85 for an hour session via zoom and you will receive a recording of our session. The link to book a 1:1 is here:
A small note before you begin
You don’t need to write your whole life story.
Just a moment at a time. A memory at a time. A small thread you can follow.
That’s how stories are made anyway — not in one sitting, but in pieces gathered gently over time.
I’m so glad you’re here! Take your time. Move slowly. Come and go as you need to.
Each letter has it's own link as well so you can print it out if you'd like. Plus, the letters come with a set of notes (PDFs) which you can also open and print out.
Off we go. Onto the first letter...
